Evaluation of the Frequency of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder in Patients with COVID-19 Admitted to Hospitals in Sari, Iran in 2020

Backgrounds: The COVID-19 epidemic has affected people's mental health around the world. According to previous epidemics, an increase in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) been seen until one year later. Objectives: Due importance of psychological issues secondary COVID-19, this study, frequency PTSD symptoms follow-up patients with who were hospitalized Sari was evaluated. Methods: In cross-sectional 199 diagnosed identified, and patients’ records recorded. criteria assessed based on Checklist for DSM 5 (PCL-5). Data analyzed using SPSS 16. Results: present overall prevalence 19.1% (38 patients). higher women, married people, people children, those aged 20-44 years. 29 (38.2%) education. Conclusions: This study showed that a high history it is necessary these undergo psychiatric evaluations.
